Being a good citizen means being kind, responsible and helping your family, classroom and community. It means showing respect, speaking up, and taking care of the places we live and learn.

We’re not just citizens of our country , we are citizens of our classrooms, schools, neighborhoods, and even the planet.

Home

We can be good citizens of our home.  We can help to clean, read to our brother or sister, help with dishes and more things!

School

We can be good citizens at school.  We can listen, do our work, and help our teacher and other students.

Community

We can be a good citizen of our community.  Our community is our neighbourhood and town.  We can volunteer to help other people in our community.  Volunteer means to do things that help people.

State

We are citizens of our state.  When we turn 18, we can vote in state elections.  We can also take care with our state resources, like parks and businesses.

Country

We are citizens of our country!  When we turn 18 we can vote for president an other representatives.  We can celebrate our country in many ways!
